Description

The piece “Summons” is my apocalyptic vision of an immediate post-rapture world where macabre & judgmental angelic intervention ripples through whatever remains of the human experience.

This piece was made using two separate photos; one of the angel, and one of the tree, landscape and sky. I used PS magic wand to delete the sky around the tree, and then replace it with a solid red background, which I then rendered clouds and then pinched. I layered the foreground too, in order to darken it & thereby somewhat hide the feet of the angel (necessary, I thought). I also heavily contrasted the angel to give it an uncomfortable, unpleasant look.

Total effort was probably five hours (which includes walking around taking pictures).
